Yumi Zouma is an alternative pop band from New Zealand. Having lived together in Christchurch until their home was destroyed in the 2011 earthquake, the friends scattered to different parts of the globe but continued to write music together via email until they had completed their debut EP. This early material led the American label Cascine to sign them before they had even played a gig. Following the release of several other EPs, and albums, the band undertook a period of extensive touring and played in countries such as Australia, the U.K., France, Canada, the U.S., and across New Zealand - including a support slot with Lorde. After signing to Polyvinyl Record Co. in late 2019, Yumi Zouma released their third studio album Truth or Consequences in early 2020.
