SOUNDBITE: WREST

Wrest is an Edinburgh-based band made up of vocalist and guitarist Stewart Douglas, guitarist Stephen Whipp, bass player Craig Robertson and drummer Jonny Tait. Described as 'alternative rock with a Celtic twang', the band has drawn comparisons to acts such as Frightened Rabbit, Idlewild and SnowPatrol due to their emotionally charged, often melancholic, songs. After releasing debut single 'Adventurers' in 2018 followed by album 'Coward of Us All', the band's fanbase grew rapidly which led to a string of sold-out shows across Scotland. Follow-up album 'End All The Days' is due to be released in 2022.
