Skipinnish is a contemporary Scottish Trad music act consisting of members from across the Highlands and Islands. Founded in 1999 by Angus MacPhail and Andrew Stevenson while both were studying at the RSAMD in Glasgow, the band are celebrating their 20th anniversary in 2019 with a string of sold out shows in some of the biggest venues across the country. Particularly over the past few years, Skipinnish has become one of the major players on the UK music festival circuit due to their strong collection of songs and atmospheric performances. Although singing primarily in English, many of their songs also contain Scots Gaelic lyrics in reference to their Hebridean roots.
