SOUNDBITE: BEAR BONES

11/20/2019

Bear Bones was a popular 8 piece Scottish folk ensemble that featured an array of instruments including accordion, brass, bells, banjo, strings, drums and vocals. Fronted by Glasgow-based Ben Harrison who grew up on the Hebridean Island of Islay, the band often performed beautifully crafted songs inspired by his island home and the life he led there. Their intimate and emotional performances were legendary in Glasgow's grassroots live music scene. Despite often being tipped as one of Scotland's next top bands, Bear Bones seemed to go off the radar. With no official statement of break up or disbandment, hopefully this means they'll be back one day!
