SOUNDBITE: A PLASTIC ROSE

After forming in August 2006, Northern Irish alternative rock band A Plastic Rose became the first ever unsigned band to be playlisted on BBC Radio 1, with Jo Whiley, Edith Bowman, Nihal, Huw Stevens and Tom Robinsons playing their debut single 'All You Know And Love Will Die'. After finding success in the Belfast music scene, the band members relocated to England in a bid to continue their upward trajectory, and were soon signed up to play at many of the big festivals including Reading & Leeds. Having gaining support from Kerrang for their debut album 'Camera. Shutter. Life.', Gary Lightbody also expressed his love for the band in Q Magazine and invited the band to tour the UK and Ireland with Snow Patrol. With over a decade of creating hook-laden alt-rock tracks under their belts, the band announced that they were breaking up and played a farewell gig on their Facebook page in June 2020.
