SOUND BITE: HAM SANDWICH

02/12/2020

Formed in 2003, Ham Sandwich is an indie band from County Meath, Ireland. The name was suggested as a joke at a rehearsal session but was then officially adopted by the group when they started performing live shows in their hometown of Kells. After releasing debut single 'Sad Songs' via their own label, Route 109A Records (named after the bus route between Kells and Dublin), they continued to write, tour and self-release material . Their indie pop tunes, enhanced by a powerful male/female vocal dynamic, proved popular with audiences and third album, Stories from the Surface, went on to reach number one in the Irish album charts.
